The NFNP Makeup Class in NYC vol.1
The No Foundation No Problem successfully hosted our inaugural makeup class in NYC on December 16th, 2023. We welcomed 11 individuals, offering them insights on cultivating a healthy relationship with makeup, focusing on techniques that exclude the use of foundation. This unique approach was made possible through our collaboration with the skincare brand Isntree.

Our class was all about enjoying makeup without worrying about having to look a certain way. We started off by wearing outfits that matched a classic school uniform, like a tartan skirt, which made us think of our school days and the simple joy of learning. Everyone was encouraged to really look at what makes them unique, like their natural skin color and type, and to feel good about it. It was a way for everyone to learn how to love their own natural look.
Haley Kim, our community founder, led by example, demonstrating how to achieve a natural, enhanced look without foundation. She worked on a participant, showcasing our philosophy that beauty can be amplified without masking. This hands-on experience allowed each attendee to learn and adopt Haley's approach, both in technique and mindset.
The class felt just like the perfect beauty session we always wanted to have—it was cozy, with people who all liked beauty and were brave enough to be themselves. We took a big step in showing that beauty doesn't have to fit one standard, and we helped our group see that being real is beautiful. At the end, we gave out certificates to show that they finished the class. It was a day our community won't forget.
